【分享】JULES JURGENSEN怀表精品大赏(图已上完112p)

 JULES JURGENSEN创立于1740，年其前身是URBAN JURGENSEN公司最早是丹麦皇家制表师，后期在瑞士的LE LOCLE设厂，在1885年以前可以说是当时的一个王者和当时法国的LEROY家族不相上下的一个厂家，在用料和打磨方面比之PP有过之而无不级，品牌方面在怀表时期这是一个近乎完美的品牌。其机心的风格标志就是她的玫瑰金的托石架和加长的快慢针，其板路的风格也深得当时宝鸡厂的欣赏并采用。回顾整个钟表历史在怀表时期的JULES JURGENSEN几乎把当时所有的功能表款都制造了个遍这在当时和现在可以说是绝无仅有的，在冲击式天文台表的制造方面JULES JURGENSEN可以说是专家。

最近上手一只JULES JURGENSEN 18K红金猎式计时码表怀表，表径48MM  大约1870-1880年产。非常厚重的18K红金表壳，状态非常好，计时组件位于表盘后边，打开后盖可见jj著名的版路，早期的哥本哈根的JJ风格，机心采用了镍合金的机板，加长的快慢针玫瑰金的托石架（瑞士的为钢制的托架），巨型摆轮设计，很是壮观，宝玑式蓝钢游丝 蓝钢摆桥 打磨倒角极为细腻。呆呆的看了好一阵子，深为百多年前的制表工艺折服。查找了一些图片，分享给各位表友！

Wonderful Jules Jurgensen 18K gold 5-minute repeater jump 1/5th second chronograph antique pocket watch circa 1880. Nickel 43 jewel three train movement, with tandem winding for the time and chronograph trains, and Jurgensen's patented bow setting mechanism. Movement is beautifully damaskeened which is unusual for Jurgensen Sunk white enamel dial (insignificant scratch) with red and black markings and blued steel hands. Heavy 18K gold plain polish case (insignificant dings) engraved with monogram and crest, the coin milled band with button for the chronograph and slide for the repeater. Loud, clear tone. Signed by the maker on the case, dial and movement. A lovely and very complicated watch by one of the most famous makers.

First quality bow setting nickel 20 jewel movement with gold screwed jewel settings, gold precision regulator, and long counterpoised lever. Heavy plain polish case with glazed dust cover. Fine white enamel dial with blued steel hands. A particularly attractive example from a most famous maker.

Fine, important and rare Jules Jurgensen keywind 18K gold hunting case pocket chronometer with pivoted detent escapement, with a naval presentation from the President of the United States, with original box and certificate circa 1858. Heavy 18K gold engine turned hunting case with only the slightest pocket wear. White enamel dial with blued steel Breguet hands. Lightly faded nickel 20 jewel pivoted detent chronometer movement with gold escutcheons. The dust cover ingraved "The President of the United States to Captain P.E. Westman of the Swedish Ship "Thor" for his humane & generous Conduct towards the Captain, Crew, & Passengers of the American Ship "Helen." 1858." With original brass bound wooden box and original certificate. It is appropriate that the President presented a Jules Jurgensen watch since they were one of the best makers of the time, and also that it is a pocket chronometer, the most accurate pocket watch of the time and necessary for precise navigation at sea.

The watch predates the creation of the 'Official Award to Non Citizens of the United States of America for Saving Lives at Sea", which was approved between 1862 and 1863 by President Abraham Lincoln. This accounts for the fact that this watch does not bear the Presidential seal. It also predates the later use of Waltham watches for presidential presentations.

Historical records note a ship called the Helen which had presumably started out as a civilian vessel, but was purchased in 1858 by US Coast Guard for use as a tender in the 6th Lighthouse Fleet. In 1861, she would be captured by Confederate forces off South Carolina and would be put to use for the Southern cause. The ship would meet her ultimate demise in 1863 in the Florida Keys when she was captured and burned by the U.S. Navy.

It is not clear whether the involvement with the Swedish ship Thor and her crew occurred before or after the Helen went into military use.

This watch comes with copious records from the National Archives.

Fine and scarce Jules Jurgensen 18K gold and enamel Art Deco vintage pocket watch with original box circa 1920. Gold dial with engraved center, applied numbers, and gold hands. Plain polish case with dark blue enamel decoration on the bezels, pendant and bow. Nickel 19 jewel 10 adjustment (!) movement with gold escutcheon and some spotting. With original fitted leather box. Handsome.

Fine and scarce Jules Jurgensen 18K gold hunting case keywind pivoted detent pocket chronometer #4961 circa 1850. The 19 jewel gilt movement with oversized balance and gold escutcheons. Substantial case with traces of engine turning. White enamel dial (clean hairline) with blued steel Breguet hands. Jurgensen is a very highly respected maker and his keywind chronometers are very scarce.

Jeweled to the hammers and the center, with unusual satin finish. With original box and papers. A handsome watch from the most respected of makers with loud, clear tone.

First quality 20 jewel movement with oversize chronometer balance, gold escutcheons, and Jurgensen's patent regulator. Jurgensen devised a mechanism that puts the watch into the hand setting mode when the bow is positioned against the back of the case.

Fine J. Alfred Jurgensen 18K gold antique pocket watch with associated box circa 1890. White enamel dial (glaze scratches and fly specs) with bold signature and blued steel Breguet hands. Plain polish case. Nickel 20 jewel movement with gold escutcheons and wolf's tooth winding shows light signs of age. With J. Alfred Jurgensen box of the same period but not original to this watch.

Very fine and very scarce small (42 mm) Jules Jurgensen 18K gold hunting case minute repeater circa 1885. First quality 31 jewel nickel movement jeweled to the center and the hammers with some jewels in screwed gold settings and with gold escutcheons. With an interesting variant of Jurgensen's regulator and Jurgensen's bow setting mechanism. White enamel dial with black numerals and blued steel hands. Heavy hunting case with elaborate monogram and date. When activated, this watch chimes the exact time using different chime tones to designate the hours, quarter hours, and minutes.

This is the smallest Jurgensen repeater I am aware of, and this watch has surprisingly bright, loud and clear tone, especially for such a small watch.
